Logan Paul came within inches of owning a gritty piece of wrestling history — and then watched it slip away.
According to Us Weekly, the WWE United States Champion revealed Sunday that he spent part of his weekend locked in an overnight auction battle for a pair of boots once worn by Hulk Hogan during WrestleMania I. The boots, yellow with laces and signed by Hogan, were described as being stained with his blood from the 1985 event at Madison Square Garden.

“Stayed up until 2am in a bidding war trying to win Hulk Hogan’s worn & signed boots from Wrestlemania 1,” Paul wrote on X. He pointed out the inscription on the boots, which read: “These are my real boots with my real blood on them from MSG, Hulk Hogan.”
Paul said he ultimately stopped bidding at $1,021,000. “I tapped out at $1,021,000. Gg to the winner,” he added.
According to auction details shared by Paul, the final sale price reached $1,037,000. A note beneath the listing showed that his last bid of $1,021,750 was surpassed before the hammer came down Saturday night.

The boots date back to 1985, when Hulk Hogan headlined the first WrestleMania and helped transform WWE into a global force. Hogan began wrestling in the late 1970s and joined WWE in 1979. He officially retired in 2012. Hogan died in July 2025 at age 71 following a heart attack. Medical records later indicated he had a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and he had reportedly undergone heart surgery shortly before his death.
For Logan Paul, the pursuit of Hogan’s boots reflects his own growing investment in professional wrestling. He debuted at WrestleMania in 2022 and signed with WWE that same year. Triple H welcomed him publicly at the time, writing, “I think it’s safe to say @LoganPaul shocked the world with his abilities as a guest at #WrestleMania … just imagine what he’ll do as a @WWE Superstar. Congratulations and welcome!”
Paul later agreed to a multiyear contract extension and captured the United States Championship in 2023 by defeating Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel.

Outside the ring, Paul recently addressed speculation about a potential match with Bad Bunny, saying on his “Impaulsive” podcast that the idea “has been floated around.” He called the global music star “a good wrestler” and added, “I think it would be the greatest WWE match of all time.”
