These Soundcore Sleep Earbuds Are $60 Off During Amazon’s Big Spring Sale

I’ve long used regular earbuds to help me sleep, but I never expected a company to actually make earbuds specifically for sleeping. Anker’s Soundcore Sleep A20 (and the newer A30) are exactly that: earbuds designed to block out excess noise without pressing uncomfortably against your ear.

I’ve been using the A20s for over a year, and can’t recommend them enough. Right now, they are $60 during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, taking them down to $119.99 (originally $179.99). The newer A30 buds are also going for their lowest price ever, according to price-tracking tools: $179.99 (down from $199.99).

I love the A20 earbuds

The Sleep A20 are not active noise-cancelling earbuds, which is how they’re able to have such a small, unobtrusive form factor. Instead, they use the in-ear seal to create a natural noise blocker, which, in my experience, works really well. They fit quite comfortably and don’t press against your ear when you sleep on your side. Very rarely do I wake up with one of them lost in the covers after falling off during the night, but it does happen occasionally (you can use the Find Device feature, which emits a loud sound through the earbuds).

The battery life is 14 hours in sleep mode, which includes broadcasting white noise or soothing sounds from the Soundcore app. In Bluetooth mode, you can listen to podcasts or music, but that will take the battery life down to eight hours. The charging case gives them a total life of up to 80 hours between plug-ins.

The newer A30 earbuds offer true ANC

The newer A30 have a worse battery life, but it will get you through the night: You get 9 hours of playback when listening to white noise, 6.5 hours listening to music via Bluetooth, and 45 hours of extra juice from the case. The good news is these add true active noise canceling (ANC), which is great if you sleep in a noisy environment. The companion app lets you set a timer for your music, so you don’t use up all your battery after you’ve fallen asleep.

There’s also a feature that blocks snoring sounds using microphones in the case, which is a lifesaver if you sleep in the same room as a noisy partner. And if you’re worried about not hearing your alarm, you can set one in the app, which also includes a handful of features that measure your sleep quality.
