في ظل تصاعد التوترات في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، تتسارع التحركات العسكرية الأمريكية في المنطقة، حيث تشير التقارير إلى استعدادات متزايدة من قبل القوات الأمريكية لتعزيز وجودها. ففي خطوة قد تثير مزيدًا من الجدل، أفادت صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» نقلاً عن مسؤول أمريكي بأن حاملة الطائرات «جورج دبليو بوش» وسفنها، المنتشرة في المحيط الأطلسي، تتجه الآن نحو الشرق الأوسط في وقت حساس.
وكشف المسؤول الأمريكي وصول نحو 2000 جندي من الفرقة 82 المحمولة جوًا إلى المنطقة في الأيام القادمة، إضافة إلى وصول طائرات مقاتلة وهجومية أمريكية لتعزيز القدرة العسكرية في المنطقة.
وفي رد فعل على هذه التحركات، اعتبر المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية أن الوجود العسكري الأمريكي في المنطقة يُعدّ «مصدرًا للفتنة وزعزعة الأمن في دول المنطقة».
وفي تطور متصل، أكد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أنه لن يقبل بأي اتفاق مع إيران ما لم يكن «يضع مصلحة أمريكا في المقام الأول»، معبّرًا في الوقت ذاته عن تفاؤله بإمكانية التوصل إلى اتفاق قد يسهم في إرساء السلام في الشرق الأوسط.
Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, U.S. military movements in the region are accelerating, with reports indicating increased preparations by U.S. forces to bolster their presence. In a move that may provoke further controversy, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a U.S. official, that the aircraft carrier “George W. Bush” and its ships, deployed in the Atlantic Ocean, are now heading towards the Middle East at a sensitive time.
The U.S. official revealed that about 2,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division are expected to arrive in the region in the coming days, along with the arrival of U.S. fighter and attack aircraft to enhance military capability in the area.
In response to these movements, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that the U.S. military presence in the region is a “source of sedition and destabilization of security in the countries of the region.”
In a related development, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that he would not accept any agreement with Iran unless it “puts America’s interests first,” while expressing optimism about the possibility of reaching an agreement that could contribute to establishing peace in the Middle East.
